Questions asked reflected concerns and issues faced by current and former registered offenders as well as thoughts on what can be done to solve the Sex Offender issue and who is responsible for the current panic.

Out of 435 potential respondents, 140 people took the survey. Here are the results of the online survey. (The Control Group responses) will be posted online only.

About the Survey:  This survey invitation was sent to 435 Registered Sex Offenders, including those on probation, parole and sentence served.  The survey  ran from October 11 to 24, 2006. Respondents were invited to participate from the S.O.S.E.N. and Registered Former Sex Offenders of Georgia and SOS-Net Yahoo Groups. The Groups were sent three invitations to participate and asked not to invite members from other Groups, or anyone outside the Groups; 140 chose to participate. A control group was set up in Atlanta, GA with 100% participation.   Every effort was made to insure the scientific integrity of the survey.
